Minority-Owned Tech Company Aims to Pay Customers Back for Using Their New Smartphone

By Paige Boyd, Managing Editor

Of course, we are used to paying big bucks for the latest smartphone on the market, but there is one smartphone out there that is looking to pay YOU.

According to a report from Black Enterprise, ZmBIZI (pronounced zam-bee-zee) is a minority-owned tech company responsible for producing "cutting-edge fintech," and most recently, they launched their flagship Z2 smartphone. The phone can earn users an average of $10 a month in cash rewards for using its internal app ecosystem. It also comes with a free Visa Debit Card for users to redeem and spend their rewards everywhere. In addition, approved small business owners can use the Z2 as a point-of-sale terminal to accept their contactless payments.

Alpesh Patel, ZmBIZI's co-founder and CEO, said "ZmBIZI is harnessing the power of today's mobile economy and sharing that revenue with its users. As a minority-owned business, we are thrilled to pioneer this space and lower barriers to accessibility with a new revolutionary category in smartphone technology."

Coming in three colors (purple, red, and dark gray), the phone costs $550 with the option of monthly installment packages from StreetCred Capital. All phones have a signature transparent back, 128GB of storage, and 8GB of memory. You can pre-order the Z2 on ZmBIZI's website.
