$400 Led To Gang Rape
In India , a 20 year old woman from a tribal Indian community , was gang raped by the community leaders after her family failed to pay 25,000 rupees that equal four hundred US dollars. The crime the woman was accused of was loving the wrong person . Monday , a non-tribal man from another community presented the woman's' family with a marriage proposal : the couple had been dating for five years at the time . A Indian court called the kagroo head ordered the woman to be raped stating that the men on the "broad" should "take her and have fun" -- the men since then have been arrested and remanded with no sight of bail and possible double digit sentences. Since an outrageous death inflicted from a brutal assault and rape of a 23 year old woman on a bus in 2013 , India has improved and intensified the media coverage and laws surrounding the rape of women and the suspects.
