Temperatures Breaking Records This Winter
Records are saying that the temperatures and extreme cold we are experiencing hasn't reached its expected low yet --the storm that has been bestowed on us has resulted in cars freezing to the ground and is being categorized as dangerous.
Across the country, people are governments are taking precautions to ensure the safety of its citizens, especially its children and elderly. In places, such as Minnesota, public schools have been closed and the governor has announced for safety to be of the utmost priority: as they prepare for the forecast of 50 degrees below zero. In other parts of the country where cold is the "norm" such as Chicago, they are also being shocked with the sudden drop in temperature and the fact that all the predicted numbers all fall below zero -- that's quite cold !
This past weekend, flights across the country were cancelled due to the hazardous danger the flight crew and its customers would be faced with -- watch areas were formed and people were cautioned to stay home and prepare for the storm.
As we enter one of the coldest months of the year we bundle up but with temperatures dropping so steadily, the effect this will have on the human body isn't lost on any of us and we as humane creatures should look to lending a helping hand to children, elderly and disabled persons .
