Split Fertility Egg Creates Triplets!

By: Angel Pink

Hannah and Tom Hepner gave birth to identical triplets on November 22,2012 in Quincy, California at Sutter Memorial Hospital.

The odds of such pregnancies ranges from 1:1 million to 1:100 million and doctors say the reason for such a gap in accuracy is accounted for the rarity within the concept of the egg splitting and creating twins, triplets, etc. The identical triplet girls children remain in the hospital and will stay there until they are able to maintain their body temperatures and eat correctly. Abby weighed 3 pounds, 2 ounces; Brin 3 pounds, 11 ounces; and Laurel 4 pounds.

The Hepner girls were born by a naturally fertilized egg splitting after if had been fertilized and I doubt this will be the last time we will hear about this wonderful story of conceiving -- but until then I wish these new parents the best of luck because they are definitely going to need it!
