Mother Shot By Husband While Holding Their Baby

By : Angel Pink

Police in Fredrick County are now investigating a family from the area, due to the double homicide and suicide that happened in a quiet neighborhood within the county which also left a five year old young girl an orphan.

Last Wednesday, the events that led to the death of the family, was that the father went to run a bathe for the five year old daughter between six and eight p.m. and when he was done, he calls the oldest child into the bathroom to get into the tub. He then finds his way downstairs where he and his wife start to argue -- all though police don't know what the argument was about, we understand that it led to the shooting of the mother. The bullet travels through her body and comes out only to make contact with the baby, whom she is holding in her arms. The husband then turns the barrel of the gun upon his self and makes the last breathe he ever will again. After quite some time, the girl whom was left upstairs to clean up for bed, comes down to see her family slaughtered and takes refugee at the neighbors first door.

When police arrive, they believe its a murder of a family by an outsider but as evidence tells a different story, so does the young girl who will never understand what the reason was for her being the only one left standing. After a little digging, it is understood that the man recently lost his job and the couple had been experiencing domestic disputes that had gone unreported for quite some time now. It's believed that the lost job ties into the cut of positions due to the "cost saving cutbacks" that have been taking place through out the country.

Investigators say that the details were a little blurred due to the fact that the young girl was the only remaining witness and because she had been through so much trauma they had no choice but to give her room to recover. The girl who was originally taken by CPS , has been returned to a family friend until there is word on what will happen with her .
